19th April- Adding Music.

Music Tracks

Track One, Falling Asleep

Track Two, Epiphany (VIP Dubstep Remix)

After successfully adding all of the shots onto the sequence in Final Cut Express, we added music to the start of Scene 1 (the present day where Maddie is washing blood off her hands) and  Scene 3-  which is the party scene of our Thriller. The music we have chosen to use has been produced by Tom
Hallett where we have been granted permission to use the tracks for this thiller. The slow track used at the start fits in with the 'just woken up' style we have created with the blurred camera, tracking into the bathroom using a hand held shot to place the audience in the mindset of how Rose is feeling at this point. It has a fantastic build up to tension, and I feel with additional editing it will create a chilling start to Oracle. The Dupstep track used during the party as a soundbridge from Maddies room fits in with the characters talking to each other as if they are at a party and having a good time together. We then decided to keep this running throughout the party scene, so it is clear where they still are, but reduce the volume so it creates the sense that the clip where Rose starts talking to Doug is later on in the party.

Today we filmed the final shot of the P-O-V tracking camera of Rose and Maddie running and screaming. The streetlight and blurred camera creates an eerie sense of mystery which is what we wanted, plus the tourch lighting used to shot the hand hitting against the tree highlights the blood and is a perfect clip to end this scene. This will then flick back to the tracking shot played at the start where Maddie is washing her hands. Tomorrow we are able to spend about 4 hours editing, therefore we aim to complete a few very successful edited shots- such as the 'blue tinted' mysterious lighting throughout the thriller to show how it is the previous day, the fade out to black and fade in to also show how this is the previous day. We will also attempt to again, add text as we would ideally like typewriter font with 'Oracle' and the credits written as the thriller begins.
